| The Santa Monica Police Department will be conducting a traffic safety DUI enforcement saturation patrol on March 17, 2009. Funding for this program was provided by a grant from the Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. |
| Additional police resources will be present to contact impaired drivers on the roadways of Santa Monica in an attempt to make the St Patrick’s Day celebration a safe one, with no alcohol-related traffic collision injuries or fatalities. |
