On February 1, 2010, at 9:38 p.m. a pedestrian, while crossing the street at the intersection of Main Street and Pacific Avenue, was struck by a vehicle. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The initial investigation revealed that the driver of the vehicle, a female/40 year old resident from Malibu, was traveling northbound on Main Street. The pedestrian, a female/28 year old resident of Santa Monica, was walking westbound on Pacific Ave in a marked crosswalk.
