    Sexual Assault Suspect Wanted

    The Santa Monica Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating a suspect involved in a sexual assault.

    On November 18, 2010 at 4:45 p.m. a female victim responded to the Public Safety Facility to report she was a victim of a sexual assault.  She told officers that on November 17th at approximately 7:30 p.m. she hailed a taxi-cab in the 300 block of Arizona Ave and asked to be driven home.   The cab driver instead drove her to the 3000 block of Barnard Way where he sexually assaulted her.  The victim fled after the assault. 

    The suspect is described as a male Middle Eastern, 56 years old, 5’9” 155 pounds, and short black/gray hair wearing a flannel shirt, khaki pants, brown shoes and a wristwatch.  The suspect was driving a taxi-cab, yellow four-door sedan with black lettering.
