On June 8, 2012, the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a traffic collision in the 1100 Block of Pacific Coast Highway involving a large dump truck and a black Porsche occupied by Lindsay Lohan and an adult male.
Investigators from the department’s Traffic Investigation Unit were assigned to follow up on the collision. During the subsequent investigation, information was developed that Lohan was the driver of the Porsche when the accident occurred. The investigation was completed and the case was presented to the Santa Monica City Attorney’s Office for a filing consideration.
On November 29, 2012, the Santa Monica City Attorney’s Office charged Lindsay Lohan with the following charges: Penal Code section 148(a)(1) (willfully resist, obstruct or delay an officer in the course of their duties), California Vehicle Code section 31 (false Information to a peace officer) and California Vehicle Code section 23103 (reckless driving) all are misdemeanors. A court date has not been set at this time.
