ARREST OF SUSPENDED OFFICER
FOR WORKERS COMPENSATION FRAUD
 
July 10, 2001
 
 

On June 13, 2001, based on information developed by the Santa Monica Police Department's Internal Criminal Unit, Richard Robert Brulato, 35 years, was arrested for Workers Compensation Fraud.  Brulato had approximately six years of law enforcement experience, four as a police officer with the Santa Monica Police Department.

Brulato surrendered to the court on charges of Workers Compensation fraud at the direction of Santa Monica Police Investigators.  He was arrainged, booked and later released on his own recognizance.

Further inquiries should be directed to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office.
