On Wednesday, January 30, 2008, Detectives
from the Santa Monica Police Department
working in conjunction with personnel from
the Santa Monica Malibu Unified School
District identified and arrested three
juveniles who were responsible for using
their cell phone the day before to make
several “prank calls” of a person with a gun
on the campuses of John Adams and Lincoln
Middle Schools. As a result of these phone
calls, a lock-down of both John Adams and
Lincoln Middle schools took place. Each
juvenile admitted to their roles in the
prank-calls.
Arrested were two 13 year old females and a
12 year old male. They were each issued
citations and released to their parents.
This case has been sent to the District
Attorney’s office for review.
